Korten aims for radical connections in painting. He believes in the simultaneity of things, guided by incisive sensory experiences. There is no preconceived end result, but surely there is an intention. His painting actions are experiments, using the power of chance, he studies what happens and then acts again. Sooner or later a combination of elements emerges that proves fruitful and endures.
